Where do I book my Shadow Session?
Shadow sessions are listed as Open Shifts in WhenIWork. You'll only be able to see Open Shifts available in the Regions you've selected to work in.
The notes of the shift will tell you who the Coach you are shadowing is and where the shift will be.
Can I attend a shift before my Shadow Session?
Yes, you can! Becoming a great Coach needs lots of practice and there are online resources available to help you in your classes. Shadow Sessions become even more helpful after having done a few shifts as you are able to get direct feedback from experienced coaches from your previous shifts. We try to provide Shadow Sessions with the best in our roster to help aid you and that could sometimes mean there are some unavailable weeks if they are unavailable to coach in that week. However, if multiple shifts have passed and you still find difficulty in finding shadow shifts, please e-mail hellohatch@hatchcanada.com.
What do I do if there are no Shadow Sessions available?
If you do not see any shadow session on WhenIWork, there are none currently available.
Shadow session are added every week, please wait a few days to see if one becomes available. If there is still no session available after 3 days, please contact hellohatch@hatchcanada.com.
Where do I go to meet the head coach for my Shadow Session?
Attending a school that you've never been to before may sound like a foreign process: you don't know which room the Hatch class is, you've never met your lead coach, you've never been to the school. Rest assured, the school staff is there to help as well. You can inform the office that you're a coach for the Hatch program whilst you sign into the school. The staff there will know which room the Hatch program is in.
