General Coach Responsibilities:

  • Have information about WiFi and other school logistics at the ready!
  • Review Reference Manual/lesson sets
  • Bring copy of VSC (Vulnerable Sector Check) to all shifts
  • Ensure safety & well-being of students at all times
  • Follow instructions from supervisory bodies
    • Watch your Hatch email for updates to documents on the Coach Drive
  • Communicate: As a Hatch coach, you may have to communicate with a wide variety of people (parents, teachers, school administration) in a confident manner, while still remaining neutral



In-Class Coach Responsibilities:

  • Set-up and clean-up/check equipment and WiFi (e.g. tidy, remove refuse, return & plug in laptops)
  • Track attendance carefully and follow pick-up procedures diligently 
  • Mark 3 projects per student per class at the beginning, throughout the class, and at the end of class
  • Set a good example for your students
  • Write some comments about the students in the comments section of attendance so that the parents can know how their kid is doing in class and also so you can notify them of any problems (Instead of Good-News Phone Calls).
